Any of my banjos may be ordered with different tuning gears, hide heads or tail pieces. Banjos with other than the standard 251/2″ scale may be ordered. For example a classical banjoist may choose to order a neck with a full 22 frets, a 27″ scale and Nylgut strings. Common scales that have been custom ordered include 26 and 27 inch. Adjustment to the price will be made based on the options chosen
Hide heads may be ordered. I use only high quality heads from Stern Tanning, Milwaukee, WI. These heads may be purchased finished to the desired thickness with one or both sides rough or polished. They are equal to the old 5 Star Rodgers heads. A head hoop made of 1/8 inch square brass is used for all hide heads.
