This banjo has similar features to The Osprey, but without frets. The neck and rim are of like construction and hand fit. The same style planetary tuners are used as is the No Knot Tailpiece. The Fretless neck is also scooped in the Galax Style. A Fibreskin head is standard. The Fretless Banjo peghead overlay features a different mythical beast in the peg head than the fretted version.
The Fretless beast is an interpretation of one found on a carved panel from a building in Venice. This Instrument is also lightly colored “Fairbanks Amber” and finished in gloss lacquer. Planetary geared tuners with Ivoroid buttons, a bone nut and 5th string pip and GHS pf 180 medium gauge strings complete the banjo.
